SUMMARY:Qualitative Research Evaluation
DESCRIPTION:This training provides an introduction of qualitative research approaches for evaluation. It provides participants with an overview of approaches to analyzing qualitative data\, an understanding of the core principles of analysis and the opportunity to develop key skills. \nSome of the topics to be covered will include: \nApproaches to data analysis\nPrinciples of analysis\nData preparation\nCodes and coding data\nAnalytic tools (description\, comparison\, categorisation)\nData Synthesis and presentation\nUsing Analysis Software (e.g. MAXQDA\, Atlas.ti)\nPrevious experience with qualitative research is desirable but not required. \n  \nTarget group:  \nThe course is intended for staff members of international development and aid organisations\, especially monitoring officers and independent evaluators who use qualitative research in their evaluation designs. \n  \nAbout the instructor: \nThis course will be delivered by Lisa Ringhofer. Lisa is the Co-Founder of TripleMinds and has over 15 years of experience in development cooperation and research. She holds an M.A. in Development Studies\, an MBA and a PhD in Sociology/Social Ecology. Lisa has developed\, implemented and evaluated development programmes and projects in several countries with a focus on Southern Africa and Latin America. She conducts her assignments in English\, German\, Spanish and Portuguese.
